Vintage Pioneer PL-570 Turntable record player with original box
Vintage Pioneer PL-570 Turntable with original box. When I plugged it in, the turntable started going around without my having initiated any action. This happens even with the tonearm on its rest. I can visually tell that it rotates at different speeds, although of course I cannot measure those speeds. Also, the lever that lifts the tonearm up and down seems to have no effect. The tonearm is not stuck or binding, I can manually move it through its range of motion. There is a bag of screws and some component as seen in the picture. So it probably needs some sort of repair. All the knobs, buttons, and levers do move smoothly. The clear plastic dust cover is in amazingly good condition, as is the wood base.
