Here is an antique STANDARD Model A brand talking machine/phonograph in excellent restored working condition with your choice of red or blue horn , as pictured. This machine is complete with all original parts and plays a Standard brand record easily on a single winding, with minimal motor noise. This machine is an early disc phonograph by The Standard Talking Machine Company of Chicago, Illinois , produced during the early days of manufacturers patent wars with an oversized spindle, and dated August 13, 1901 on the horn elbow clamp. Oak cabinet with excellent original finish and original Standard decal, has some minor age related finish wear to metal parts, as pictured ; original crank and brake/speed mechanism. Original 8 petal flower horn with beautiful new blue or red metallic paint job. No damage to horn. Just about as nice as they come and guaranteed antique. This is definitely not an attic or barn find but a professionally restored machine ready for another 100 years of service. Avoid disappointment with garage sale and attic finds offered as playing; This machine has been professionally serviced and overhauled with a new mainspring; soundbox has great volume with new gaskets. New green turntable felt and rubber feet. All other parts are original to this machine. A great collectible phonograph in excellent playing condition after more than a hundred years. Includes 5 good playing records and a supply of fresh needles to get started with. No address changes for any reason. Please inspect photos carefully. All questions answered promptly.
