This Replica is the rare Octagonal HMV Version. This will make a great feature for any room and a fantastic present. The original was first made in 1914 approx. Our Classic Working Replica Gramophone measures 27 inches height. The base is 15 x 15 Inches and stands 7 inches High plus about 3/4 inch for the turntable. The Diameter of the Horn is 14 inches. Gramophone attached to solid seasoned wooden Hand Made base. Although this is designed for display these do actually play 78 RPM Records just like the real thing. Up for you’re consideration is a very rare Victory 45 rpm record player from the early 1950’s Hammertone paint on the record player is original & the Bakelite case is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. Case cleaned and polished and looks fantastic. Not one stone went unturned on this restoration. I’ve done the following. Rebuilt the entire amplifier with all new Capacitors & resistors. Tube sockets & volume control cleaned with Desoxit D5. New RCA Victor 50B5 output tube, 12AV6 tested very strong along with the 35W4 with no shorts or leaks. New Polarized power cord. New P-188 ceramic stereo cartridge bridged for mono play back with a. Entire changer mechanism dismantled cleaned, lubed, properly adjusted. Motor dismantled thoroughly cleaned reoiled with new motor grommets. New Idler wheel for correct speed and all new rubber on the cycle cam wheel. Tonearm now sits on ball bearings this allows the tonearm to track lighter with less record wear. Play tested for a week & operates flawlessly. You can stack up to 14 45 rpm records at a time on the shinny maroon spindle cap and the record player changes the records automatically with room filling volume. Sound is warm & rich coming from the tube amplifier. I’ve been restoring these record players since 2005. Record player will be very carefully packed for safe arrival for the new owner to enjoy for many years of enjoyment. Absolutely incredible well preserved player. I completely disassembled it, recapped the amplifier and added a polarized cord. The case was cleaned and polished. The record changer chassis was disassembled, cleaned and lubricated where necessary, including the motor shaft and oiling cups. It also received a new modern style cartridge/needle as well as a modern aluminum drive wheel with replaceable rubber tires. The original spindle nose was cracked and bulged so a new NOS one was installed. It plays and sounds phenomenal!

Inspired by Kubrick’s classic film 2001: A Space Odyssey, here we have an incredibly rare piece of space-age-design home audio in excellent condition. Its retro-future design is unmistakable and would be an iconic eye catching piece in anyone’s collection. All lights have been upgraded to modern LED replacements, so there is no lifespan concerns, unlike thee extremely fragile and difficult to replace halogen bulbs. The tuning dial looks mesmerising as seen in the listing pics. It was released in 1971 in either white or yellow; the yellow being the more scarcely seen version. This is a beautiful example ready to place in your period/feature home and use and enjoy. This is a clean, fully operational, dust-free vintage piece, suited to the collector’s home. The condition and status of each component is as follows. Stand: repainted in 2-pack satin black, matched to original finish. Stand is removable to allow unit to rest on the four castor wheels underneath. Body: glossy and high lustre, all four wheels in good condition, some very light feather marks here and there which are barely discernible due to the high gloss of the yellow. Cassette deck: fully working, with new belts and has been serviced (including head cleaning). Playback head is shiny and in good condition. Radio: receives on all channels, stereo lamp working, signal strength meter working. Lamps beneath tuning dial working. The dial looks amazing when lit and even more amazing when turned. Turntable: Fully automatic and fully working. The drive wheel has been replaced as has the needle. The turntable operates at correct speed on all three speeds. The automatic system locates the beginning of the record with each size selected, either 7″, 10″, or 12. This is a stack-and-drop system, where the records can be stacked on top of one another at the top of the spindle, and when the’Start’ lever is engaged it will drop one record at a time, moving the tonearm out of the way when dropping, and placing is again at the start of the next record. I have used it with 5 records stacked without issue. This makes it a great party piece, as with careful record selection the host need not attend the music for quite some time. Note: all records need to be the same size for automatic system to function without issue. Once the last record has dropped, the player will finish at the end of the groove and return the tonearm to its cradle and switch itself off. You can have the player continue to play the same record over and over simply by lifting the record overarm up and to the side, this engages the stack-and-drop system but with only one record, with the tonearm lifting at the end of the record and repositioning itself at the start again. The unit comes with a BRAND NEW spare replacement stylus as well as the original. The lid/visor for this system is in good condition except for 2 small cracks near the hinge. This does not affect operation of the lid at all and is is barely noticeable externally. All knobs are present and shiny. Control console is clean and shiny with faint scuffs. Unit operates on 220-240VAC with Australian 2-pin plug. Potential buyers, be sure not to miss out on this, your chance to own the coveted UFO space-age 2007 stereo system!
