For your consideration is a Near Mint 1907 Edison Script Front Model B Home Cylinder 2-minute Phonograph, complete with 14 witch hat horn and a selection of excellent cylinder recordings. I only sell the finest fully-serviced mechanisms for long term enjoyment and satisfaction. This Edison Home showcases a near perfect original gilt script decal and one of the nicest factory original shellac finishes you will find. Incredibly, the lid latches retain nearly all of their most delicate original nickel plating-nearly unheard of on any cylinder phonograph. The asphaltum black bedplate is lustrous and retains nearly all of the original and fragile gilt detailing. The original nickel plating on the top works is incredible, and most of the hardware has its original factory blueing. The motor runs silent- just as it left the factory. Fully wound you can easily play through a few cylinders. This Edison has a sturdy new leather drive belt. So long as it is routinely oiled you will get another 100+ years of enjoyment out of this machine. The original Model C reproducer is absolutely pristine, freshly rebuilt with new custom gaskets, cleaned, and tuned for optimal performance. The 14 witch hat horn is new old stock from our dearly departed beloved phonograph parts guru, Ron Sitko. It’s the ideal compliment for the outstanding condition of the phonograph. This phonograph weighs about 28 pounds and the cabinet with lid on measures. 16.25″ x 9″ x 11.5. Included are three cylinder records- two Edison 2-minute Black Wax featuring great band and orchestral selections, and another pristine Indestructible celluloid (early plastic) march number. This machine will safely play all standard-sized black wax and celluloid 2-minute cylinder records. IMG 7775 – YouTube. For your consideration is a near mint 1911 Lakeside U. Phonograph Banner model 2 and 4-minute cylinder phonograph record player with original paneled horn. If you have been looking for an esoteric cylinder phonograph for the advanced collector, look no further. The 2/4 minute assembly is like no other. These machines were produced in limited quantities through 1912 and the years have not been kind to most of them. This example is the rare exception. This machine features a near perfect lustrous original shellac finish on the cabinet with a Lakeside decal. If you look closely you can see where Ward removed the U. Factory decal and applied the Lakeside decal, back in 1911. The bedplate is simply phenomenal, as you can see, showcasing a near perfect black japanned paint job and retaining almost 100% of the fragile original pin striping and decals. The nickel plating is outstanding and overall this machine is near mint, apart from some trivial notes here and there. The reproducer assembly casting has matching serial numbers to the data plate, mounted to the mechanism casting (see the 7th photo). The motor is strong and quiet and easily plays through a couple 2-minute cylinders with a full winding. This motor utilizes a new Wyatt Markus leather belt, the best cylinder phonograph belt on the market today. If you know U. Phonographs you are well aware that the pot metal 2 and 4-minute reproducer carriages are typically unusable due to cracking, missing pieces, and other trauma thanks to pot metal problems. This example is the very rare exception. The carriage assembly is original and functioning, with no clunky repairs jobs in sight. The sophisticated 2/4 minute feed system, formerly using pot metal rods, was carefully replaced with a problem-free brass sleeve system, designed and painstakingly implemented by myself. The only concession is the use of two non-invasive pins in the 2/4 switch gear, which replace the original switch key (included) that was likely broken off 90 years ago when the mechanism stiffened. That said, while this phonograph is capable of good playback, it’s still a somewhat fragile reproducer assembly so an amount of care is required when operating. Machine comes with its original absolutely superb paneled horn. Included with this phonograph are 2 original Lakeside U. Indestructible celluloid (early plastic) cylinders. One is 2-minute, the other 4-minute. This phonograph will safely play all standard-sized 2 and 4-minute black wax and celluloid cylinders. German tube radio and record player from 1957. This particular radio-phonograph combination is a real rarity. It is the first Braun Snow White Coffin and in a excellent and perfect working condition. This radio phonograph was fully restored and serviced. All tubes were checked and defective replaced. All critical capacitors, defective elkos and defective resistors were replaced. It was all adjusted, the whole turntable and the radio chassis were cleaned and mechanical parts re-oiled, contacts refreshed, The turntable was completely adjusted and restored, the phono cartridge is new and original from Ronette with new needles, the acrylic cover is new and produced like the original one with square cutout, the varnish is new, professionally lacquered in the same color like the original one, new labeling with the same fonts and the same position and the same size like the original one via special silkscreen printing with special paint, which is abrasion resistant, new scale dial and 100% similar like the original one, the same colors, the same fonts and numerics and size like the original one, the vaneers were refreshed and rectified, all individual parts were cleaned, all mechanical parts were cleaned and re-oiled, all contacts were refreshed, technically checked, etc…. (Please look at the pictures). The coffin looks like new! The wooden veneers are in a fantastic condition. It has a four speed record player 78, 45, 33, 16 rpm. The tube radio picks up MW and UKW (FM) signals. Beautiful cream white metal casing with elm-veneer wooden sides. Bluetooth device with the special adapter included. All switches and knobs work well treble, bass, etc. , no scratches or noise. The platter will move in all speeds, plays records fine and loud. The radio has some nice reception even without an external antenna. The sound is clear and the valves are in a very good condition. A truly design classic by Dieter Rams and Hans Gugelot, which is permanent in many museum collections. The SK4 is been exhibited in the Museum Of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris as a milestone of the design. All functions are guaranteed.
