Motorola Vintage, Mid Century Modern Console Turntable Record Player/Changer

Motorola Vintage Console Turntable Record Changer. This unit does work, but right channel seems to have no sound. Not sure what is wrong. Possibly a wiring issue in tone arm at needle assembly. It does sound awesome on just the left side. Needs TLC, some cleaning, and a new good home. I don’t have the time to restore. It would make a great project, and like I said, it does actually work. Comes with some of the original booklets and chords, and, spare tone arm cartridge with needle. Motorola Tube Record Player SH18N Stereophonic Hi Fi Portable Mid Century Parts. Closed case measures about 22.75″ length x 9″ width x 21 height. I did test a 78 and a 45 and the player works, but I don’t have the other types of records to test the other speeds. These are not my wheelhouse, so I can’t be sure every function works perfectly. Cosmetically, there are discolored areas, cosmetic surface wear throughout. One of the speakers doesn’t stay secured to the bottom when the case is closed, so some adjustment is needed there. Tubes are 50eh5, 50eh5 and 35W4. New Astatic high output stereo 142 cartridge with flip over needle. Comes with 2 BSR bookshelf speakers. Amps has been Recapped cleaned, tested, original power cord. Changer cabinet measures: 16″w x 15″d x 11h with legs installed. RCA female input jacks installed on changer cabinet. Each BSR made in Japan speaker cabinet contains a 6 round ALNICO full range speaker. Each speaker cabinet measures: 8″w x 12″h x 7d Comes with automatic 45 Spindle adapter for 45’s. The record changer has been fully serviced with rebuilt motor and mechanism, new idler wheel and motor mounts, and a new stereo cartridge with flip over needle. Mid Century Modern Stereo Console. Here’s a terrific vintage Motorola stereo console. That’s been restored both electronically and mechanically. Sleek modern lines, and it’s compact size. Vintage Motorola Stereo Console Tube Record Player Hi Fi Restored by Jimmy O – YouTube. In nice original condition all around, having some typical wear here and there from over the years. A few marks and worn spots on the cabinet top, scuffs and scratches here and there, and just a couple pulls to the speaker cloth. Radio faceplate has a little wear, but overall still looks very good. Remember, this is an original early 60’s console, it is not new. Measures 39″ in length, by 19″ deep, and stands 29 tall. The automatic record changer was completely taken apart, and redone to work like it should.. Has a new stereo cartridge and dual flip over needle. Comes complete with the original automatic 45 adapter, so you can stack records, and each will drop and play in turn… You can do the same with LP’s too! Vintage Motorola HiFi Tube Stereo Console Record Player Restored By Jimmy O… Both the radio chassis and amplifier chassis were taken out, and had new capacitors installed, along with an in-line fuse to assure safety and long life. All tubes were removed and tested, and replaced as needed.. The amplifier has NOS Phillips Miniwatt output tubes installed, and it really sounds awesome. Here’s the FM Radio in action. 1950’s Stereo HiFi Console. Here’s a fantastic Vintage Custom Motorola Stereo Console.. This has been entirely restored, and plays and sounds just as good as it looks! 1950’s Motorola Custom Stereo HiFi Console Record Player. This console was lovingly customized. Using a vintage Motorola 4 speed record changer. A Motorola stereo EL84 amplifier, and dual Motorola Alnico speakers. All combined within a vintage 1950’s record cabinet. The wood cabinet was recovered. With custom cabinet coverings. Of vintage green, black, and grey. These are the same style coverings. They used on record players from back in the day! Cabinet stands on 4 gold tapered wood legs. That can also unscrew from the bottom mounts. Measures 40″ long, 16″ deep, and stands 26 tall. Both speakers can be removed out of the main cabinet if desired. And each has a long length of cord. So you can place them wherever you like in the room.. You can also fit LP’s and 45s inside the cabinet! 1950’s Motorola Custom HiFi Stereo Console – YouTube. The entire record changer was taken apart cleaned and serviced. The automatic features all operate as they should. This also comes with an automatic 45 adaptor, which was taken apart and rebuilt, so you can stack 45’s, and each will drop and play in turn! The record changer will turn off after the last record has played. Comes with a brand new stereo cartridge. And flip over Diamond/Saphire needle. The powerful EL84 tube amplifier was entirely rebuilt; has a new USA made CE can capacitor, tube sockets, an added fuse, an On/Off switch, and a green LED pilot light in the front. The old wax capacitors were also replaced along with new resistors. All tubes tested strong. A 12AX7, NOS dual Sylvania grey plate EL84’s, and a 5Y3 rectifier. There are tone control knobs that allow you to adjust. Loudness, Bass, Treble, and Balance. As an added bonus, there are RCA jacks underneath the tone controls. For connecting either a CD player, iphone, or ipod! Theres plenty of space in the center of the cabinet for storing a Compact Disk unit or other component.. M OTOROLA 1955 Golden Voice. Hi, Jimmy O here… Thanks for stopping by to see my latest restoration.. Here’s a fabulous 1955 Motorola Golden Voice record changer and tube amplifier. Both completely redone, and beautifully displayed in a custom built retro cabinet! Check out the video below for a small sample of what this fun Motorola sounds like! 1955 Motorola Tube Amplifier & Record Player Custom Hi-Fi Console by Jimmy O – YouTube. This player is just so cool and retro looking, with it’s striking custom cabinet, silver and black grill cloth, and gold tapered legs. The cabinet is really awesome, having plenty of room for storing and displaying your records, along with a shelf for a CD player, which you can also listen to through the powerful 6V6 tube amplifier! The entire cabinet was covered with vintage style coverings of green, black, and white; the exact same kind used back in the day… See close ups of the wonderful quality and texture! Console measures 34″ long, by 14 1/2″ deep, and stands 30 tall with the legs attached; the legs unscrew if you need the extra space. Motorola has always been known for their terrific sounding amplifiers, and this model is equipped with one of their best mono 6V6 versions. The amplifier has a single 6au6 tube, two 12Au7 tubes, dual 6V6 outputs, and a 5Y3 rectifier… All the tubes are vintage USA made, and all test super strong!! The amplifier has been completely redone, inside and out, with new wiring, tube sockets, capacitors, a USA made CE can capacitor, new resistors, red pilot lamp, and an added fuse and power cord for safety.. This amp sounds amazing! The fun space age designed control knobs allow you to adjust. Loudness, Treble and Bass. The automatic 4 speed record changer is also simply fantastic and in really beautiful shape, with it’s awesome 50’s original 2 tone fleck paint! The record changer was entirely taken apart and rebuilt to operate like new again. The tonearm has a brand new stereo cartridge installed and you can play both stereo or mono LP’s on this. This is an automatic changer, so you can stack records, and each one will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played. Comes with a convenient automatic 45 adapter, which was also rebuilt, and allows you to stack and play multiple 45 records automatically! 1950’s Motorola Custom HiFi Console Designed and Built by Jimmy O! A nice bonus feature is the external RCA input and selector switch located on the side of the amplifier. You can hook up a CD player, iPhone, iPod, etc, and listen through the tube amp..
