The Voice of Music Record Player Model 357 is a vintage audio player manufactured by The Voice of Music brand. This record player is a part of vintage electronics and is specifically categorized under vintage record players. The record player is missing the playing needle. It turn on and record spins. Don’t know if the speakers work because of the missing needle.

This exquisitely restored vintage 1960 Voice of Music 306 is a portable, 4 speed, fully automatic stacking record player with auto shutoff. The original one tube amplifier has been upgraded to three tubes to allow the use of a modern ceramic stereo cartridge for improved sound and increased volume. The 5 inch speaker produces surprisingly good sound. Included is a 45 RPM adapter that has been rebuilt and works well. Phonograph was completely disassembled. All old covering material, grill cloth and hardware removed. Case repaired to be structurally sound. Expertly re-covered with high quality Tolex. This is the same material that is used on custom guitar amp cabinets. All new brass plated hardware: hinges, latches, side feet and handle straps. Rubber feet added the bottom of the unit. Thoroughly cleaned, reassembled, lubricated, adjusted and tested. New parts: Idler wheel, motor mounts and turntable mat. All new capacitors and resistors. Controls cleaned for static free operation. Tubes tested and are strong. Modern ceramic stereo cartridge bridged for mono play. Tonearm tracking adjusted to 4 grams. This record player will be gentle to your records. Flip over style needle. One side for LP’s and 45’s, the other side for 78’s. It can play 12 inch LP’s, 10 inch 78’s and 7 inch 45’s, automatically selecting record size for correct tonearm landing and shuts down after the last record has played. This is an absolutely beautiful record player that works perfectly and sounds great. Please examine photos carefully. They are an excellent description of this phonograph. Thanks for taking a look.

After testing I have found tht the amplifier is in excellent working order with no issues. Attaching an auxillary source (a cd player) it was found to function as intended. The record player is touchy.

Incredibly weird old electronics – not working – from VOICE Of MUSIC this Stereo “Console” is built into what looks like an Early American Writing Desk with a spot for an inkwell! But flip up the slanted top and you’ve got a turntable / record changer, and a receiver with controls and a radio and two speakers on either side – it’s a little crazy!!! Have had this for years but haven’t ever tried to get it working, no idea what if anything can be done to fix it. It has been sitting gathering dust. Stamp on the bottom looks like it might be model 627 but we aren’t sure. So if you are interested in a fairly wacky “historic” example of the craziness of stereo in the early days, give it a try! Offered as is no guarantees, for parts or restoration!! Missing a couple of knobs, has 45 adaptor. It measures about 35 inches tall in the back and about 32 inches tall in the front 24 inches side to side and 20 inches front to back. 1954 Voice Of Music TrioMatic Model 1285 Record Player Restored. I had this unit mechanically restored by the Voice of Music people. It was not working prior to that. The record changer was serviced and the amp was serviced. I’m pretty sure the tubes are original. I wanted this to be period original so I had a nos cartridge installed. The tone would probably be better with a newer cartridge. Otherwise it works perfect and I’m very pleased with the restoration. Cosmetically, the interior is in beautiful condition and original. The flocking is excellent for something 70 years old. The finishes are all clean and shiny. For the exterior the finish was dull and dry. I lightly sanded it and rubbed it over with a dark walnut stain. I tried to hide any imperfections. I finished it with a coat of clear poly. It’s not perfect, but it looks like a very well taken care of piece. The grill cloth was also replaced with new fabric to look as close to original as possible. I’ve got over 600 into this and I’m asking 600. If I can’t get that I’ll just keep it and enjoy it. It doesn’t have legs, never did but I’m sure they can be installed. It doesn’t have a 45 rpm stacker. I play 78s and 10 lps. Hence the old cartridge. With a more modern cart one could play more modern records. Voice of Music Model 560A. Tri-O-Matic HiFi from 1957! Has a fun Lazy Lite front pilot lamp that looks awesome at night, and also doubles as a On/Off control switch when pushed in! You can simply push it in to start playing your records automatically; push it to reject for the next album, or push it to stop the unit and shut down… The automatic VM 4 speed record changer is just fantastic. With it’s cool VM logo. It’s an automatic changer, so you can stack records, and each one will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played. We added a brand new needle and had it playing perfect , then my husband carried it upstairs , and the volume control doesn’t work now. It’s probably just a loose wire at the knob , but he’s not a genius on electronics. Maybe if you request I can?? IT HAS A BLACK CABINET (SHOWS LIGHT WEAR) FABRIC IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION! 45 MINUTES SOUTH OF ERIE. 16335 TO CALCULATE DRIVING TIME. Nice hi-fi in overall good shape. Several years ago I rebuilt the amplifier and it works fine. I also ditched the original speakers and installed some Audio Nirvana ceramic full-range 12’s, which are very nice. Honestly, the speakers alone are worth the price. The turntable does not work very well. It never has, despite many attempts on my part. But the phono on this thing doesn’t sound particularly good anyway, so I eventually gave up on fixing it and just used an external turntable and ran it into the 580’s amp. And, finally, our cat used the grill cloth as a scratching post. It’s not too bad, though. But all the wood is in decent condition besides a few blemishes that could easily be refinished, and the amp and speakers sound great. 55″ W x 21″ D x 32 H.
