Restored RCA Custom EY2 45 RPM Record Player. Has built in amp and speaker. All Capacitors and all out of spec resistors have been replaced in amp. Has new Idler Wheel from VM Audio. New Cycle Cam tire, not resurfaced with liquid rubber. New motor mounts and board cushions also from VM Audio. New cartridge with diamond stylus bridged to play both mono and stereo 45’s. Motor dismanteled and bearings soaked in lacquer thinner to remove old hardened factory grease that causes motor to run slow and hot. After cleaning bearings are lubricated with Turbine Oil for long playing at correct speed. Bakelite cabinet, Tonearm, platter, spindle, spindle cap and switch polished to a high gloss. All internal parts cleaned and moving parts polished with 1500 grit paper for smooth effortless operation. You can stack as many as 15 records on spindle for long uninterrupted playing. Number of records depends on thickness and if any are warped. Top motorboard sanded, primed and painted a brushed Nickel. Thank you for looking. This is a vintage silvertone phonograph from the 1950s. Overall the unit is in good condition as seen in the photos. When turned on, it makes a buzzing sound. 2 of the tubes turn on as seen in the photos, the third one marked 12SQ7, not so sure. The needle looks in good condition. Vintage 1950’s “TRI-O-MATIC” made by Voice of Music. Some light signs of age on outside as seen in pictures. Both latches still work and the handle is still strong. Some tape remnants on the top which should clean off. All four feet are still on the unit and are not dried out. The grill is in good shape with no snags or holes. All knobs physically rotate as they should. The arm is lose and will need reattached. When plugged in the unit rotates nicely. Three speed with 45 33 and 78 speeds. 16 x 17.5 x 9. It will be protected well and insured.

Up for sale is a 1950’s Motorola SH16E Stereophonic Golden Voice Record Player Portable Turntable Suitcase. This is completely untested I know nothing about the unit. Will need a detailed cleaning seems to open and close just fine. There is surface wear throughout as shown with some gouges and scratching. I believe speakers will separate so they can be placed within cords reach.
