This is a very rare and unique piece. Great for both phonograph and militaria collectors. It was given to a friend of mine by a retired general. WWII Special Services US Army Green Crank Style Gramophone Record Player

Dimensions: 17″ x 15″ x 7.5 20 lbs. Gramophone phonograph marked “U S Army”. Painted Olive Drab green, and stenciled on the outside top is U. Complete with crank that winds up the motor, tone arm, and original instruction card that is pasted onto the inside top of the cover. Stenciled on the inside top of the cover just above the instruction card is U. The crank arm, when removed from the hole in the front of the case, is stored inside the case. The cover is hinged and has 2 hasps to secure the cover closed. There is a leather carrying handle on the top side of the case which is in very good condition. This gramophone functions well and the turntable rotates after being cranked. The case has metal edge and corner protectors all around. Due to the case’s age there are minor signs of wear and tear which can be seen in photographs. It has some scratches and scuffs. Includes a paper package of replacement needles.
