BRAUN Atelier 11 Stereo. X BRAUN L1 Speaker Box. Designed by Dieter Rams. German tube radio and record player from 1961/1962. Top Condition and Perfect Working! This particular radio-phonograph combination is in a splendid cosmetic condition and great working order. It has a four speed record player 78, 45, 33, 16 rpm. The tube radio picks up LW, MW, and UKW signals (Broadcast, Long Wave, and FM). The lacquer and the vaneers are in a splendid order. The complete turntable and radio were revised. The turntable was completly cleaned, re-oiled, adjusted and calibrated. All tubes were checked and defective replaced, all defective capacitors and resistors were replaced, the phono cartridge and the needle are new, all individual parts were cleaned, the housing complex was cleaned and polished, all mechanical parts were cleaned and re-oiled, all contacts were refreshed, technically checked, etc. (Please look at the pictures). The radio-phonograph is in a perfect working order. The cabinet is in a very good condition, due to the age of the device. All switches and knobs work well treble, bass, etc. The platter will move in all speeds, plays records fine and loud. The sound is clear and very powerful! A truly design classic by Dieter Rams. It works in all its bands: UKW, MW, KW and LW. The 9 tubes are in a very good working order. Tubes: ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EBF89, EM84, ECC83, ECC83, EL84, EL84. Voltage regulator works from 110 to 240V. If you are looking for a radio-phonograph with a spectacular look, this would be the right choice. It is possible to connect external players like ipod, iphone and other. Due to its very good technical and optical condition, it will bring a lot of fun to its new owner. It is cleaned and polished. Braun Atelier 1-81 radio and stereo record player. + BRAUN L1 SPEAKER. This particular radio-record player combination is in a very good cosmetic condition. It has a four speed record player with 78, 45, 33, 16 rpm. The tube radio picks up LW, MW, and UKW signals (Broadcast, Long Wave, and FM). This combination was designed by Dieter Rams and Hans Gugelot (Bauhaus / Ulmer Schule HFG aka “Ulm College of Design”). It has no nickname unlike the SK “Snow White’s Coffin” series with its translucent plastic lid, but it is a classic piece of design and unlikely to ever be remade.. Beautiful cream white metal casing with ash-veneer wooden sides. As already mentioned cosmetic is for it years good, with some signs of wear. No great paint loss, but it is not really white any more, so you would like to re-paint it again. Please see pictures below. Technically speaking the radio works very well at all signals, sound is strong and clear. The record player works at all speeds and plays a test record fine, however, the needles must be replaced, sound is a little bit flat and silent. All switches and knobs work well treble, bass, etc. Tubes can be replaced easily and the schematic and full technical specifications can be found here. Here is a quick overview. Many of his designs for domestic appliances and audio equipment feature in the permanent collections of leading museums that collect and promote design, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, in New York, which began to collect Braun products in 1958. After studying architecture at the Wiesbaden Academy of Applied Arts from 1947 to 1953 he spent three years as an apprentice cabinetmaker. This was followed by a period in architectural offices until he joined Braun in 1955. Braun Atelier 3 radio and record player. This particular radio-record player combination is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition. It has a four speed record player with 78, 45, 33, 16 rpm. The tube radio picks up LW, MW, and UKW signals (Broadcast, Long Wave, and FM). This combination was designed by Dieter Rams. It has no nickname unlike the SK “Snow White’s Coffin” series with its translucent plastic lid, but it is a classic piece of design and unlikely to ever be remade.. It is the same model as the Atelier 2 and shares the same beautiful cream white wooden casing, unlike the Atelier 2 with its ash-veneer wooden sides this model features sides made out of polished aluminum. Technically speaking it’s a hybrid of the Braun SK 61 phonogram and the Braun RCS 3 stereo receiver, without a box. As already mentioned cosmetic is for it years very good, with some very small signs of wear. No paint loss, but it is not “as new”, with little signs of use. Please see pictures below.
