Vintage Carola Victrola Phonograph Metal Cabinet Mini Childs Size Record Player. Item : We have a nice vintage Carola Phonograph – The Nightingale of Phonographs! It has a metal body and is a child’s size. There is a patent date of 1916 on the record player. The piece comes exactly as we found it from a local estate (untested). It is missing some parts (read below). A neat piece to use or display! More neat stuff in our store! Size and Makeup : Record Player: approx. 22″ tall, and 13″ wide. Made of metal, etc. Condition : The record player has its motor, but no crank, and no tonearm. The metal body looks good. Please see our photos! Markings : The Carola Co. Patent February 22, 1916. A neat early small phonograph, likely for a child, possibly simply a portable model. Marked Valoretta on the case, made in Germany, reproducer is marked BING. In overall fair to good condition. Does not run, spring will not hold a wind, but will run a bit as arm is cranked. Looks like a panel is missing from the bottom. Tone arm is a bit loose, no needle. Some finish wear overall. Antique child’s hand crank phonograph record player. Phonograph plays the old 78 small child records. Phonograph shows some wear and age to the reproducer and the screw that tightens the needle is broke off but still holds the needle tight. Looks like it is missing the front door that was probably metal but could be replaced. Sides and back of phonograph are made of metal as well as the top of the lid and the rest is a wood cabinet. We hand cranked this phonograph up and the motor works great. Phonograph is 17 1/2″ tall with the top lid closed x 10 1/2″ x 9 1/4”. We will also send the record you see in the pictures along with the phonograph. The color varies due to the camera flash. The motor runs well and platter spins, speed adjust seem to work. We do not have any needles so the sound is untested.
