RCA Christmas Store Display Sign TV Radio Record Player Lights UP 1964. This display from 1964 is 3 pieces of heavy chipboard. The 2 small non lite ones measure 15 wide by 24 high. Lite one is 50 high by 36 wide the base is 8 by 32. It has a string of 4 flashing c7 bulbs they are finicky one seems to sometimes blink and/or stay on. The condition is good no water damage but a few corners bent are bent from being used for many seasons. The tallest tree was once put away not so carefully. It is bent over it could be reinforced once it get set up. The cord on the light string is fine. The iconic Dansette record player from the 1960s, which seems to be working regarding stop, start and auto. The present cartridge is nearly solid with dirt but sound does come out of the speakers. There are some old dormant woodworm holes in the case – which is structurally sound. It has all it’s original decals – most in good condition but alas, after all these years has lost that distinctive chlorine smell that came from the vinyl covering. The youngsters amongst you may not be aware of this – but to boost the bass you put half a crown on the tone arm and piled books on top of the lid. Condition = Poor – Fair.
