To open / close. Some wear on wood scratches. There are signs of age with scratches – still looks very good. Incredibly weird old electronics – not working – from VOICE Of MUSIC this Stereo “Console” is built into what looks like an Early American Writing Desk with a spot for an inkwell! But flip up the slanted top and you’ve got a turntable / record changer, and a receiver with controls and a radio and two speakers on either side – it’s a little crazy!!! Have had this for years but haven’t ever tried to get it working, no idea what if anything can be done to fix it. It has been sitting gathering dust. Stamp on the bottom looks like it might be model 627 but we aren’t sure. So if you are interested in a fairly wacky “historic” example of the craziness of stereo in the early days, give it a try! Offered as is no guarantees, for parts or restoration!! Missing a couple of knobs, has 45 adaptor. It measures about 35 inches tall in the back and about 32 inches tall in the front 24 inches side to side and 20 inches front to back. See pics for conditions and descriptions wooden top is missing , its in good condition for the age works and plays handle cranks up and turns nicely good probably use a good tune for everything to function as it should the wheel that the record sits in turns but you can tell it needs cleaning it aint as smooth as it should be the sound it puts out I think will improve with the wheel properly spinning as it should i believe all it needs is a tune up and you will have a very cool piece and only could imagine a completely refurbished one of all original parts would be amazing. This is a rather lovely early Linn Sondek LP12.. Bought several years ago.. I had it serviced and I have only had the opportunity to use only a handful of times since… Service included new springs and belt and supplied with new oil, still have the original springs. Please study the pictures as this is the actual turntable for sale and form part of the description.. As you can see this has been exceptionally well cared for, thete are minor signs of use and age… The lid is bright and clear but does have some marks, it does stay up so hinges are ok. The armboard is Rega type arms, but can accept over brands. This is an original early model serial no 0029 which dates it 1979ish.. However there are a number of fans who believe the early original models have a sound that is lost on the latest versions.. The tonearm and cartridge have listed seperately.. I will very carefully pack, removing the platter and packing lid seperately.
