Fantastic example of a Elac Miracord 10H in original wood box. A record changer equipped with an automatic performance function. Records are switched using a vertical descent method, and a special braking device operates when the machine stops, enabling smooth record switching. Smooth operation is achieved by adopting a special nylon gear for the mechanism drive part. A peripheral rotating hysteresis motor is used as the drive motor. As a result, the flywheel effect is increased and rotational unevenness is reduced and large rotational torque is obtained. It supports 4 speeds and uses a switch-type select button for switching. The height of the tone arm can be adjusted according to the number of records that are always used. In addition, the needle pressure is adjusted using a counter balance and an attached simple needle pressure meter. Arm-lock device is installed to protect the cartridge during transportation. It is possible to play manually. It is designed so that the idler is automatically separated from the motor pulley during stop. This sale is for a hard-to-find Benjamin Miracord ELAC 50H auto 4 speed turntable w/ Empire cartridge. Read on for details. Player and cartridge have been tested and are working. All lights and speeds tested, together with automatic function buttons. Turntable motor rumbles during playback and there’s a faint ground loop feedback “hum” during playback. Ground loop gets louder when tone arm is initially starting up & stopping playback. Machine plays and sound quality is pretty good despite the faint feedback. Unit should be serviced for more optimum playback. RCA cables have been replaced. Includes Empire 1000 SE/X cartridge & automatic spindle, and original operating instructions w/ fold-out schematics.
