Possible to use it with batteries, but there is also a cable to power it by mains. Plays 33/45 and 78 rpm records. Its sound is very good, really more, than I expected. I’m sure, you will love it. This hifi-rarity is in very good condition, there are scratches all around. This awesome device is free of any damages, rips or cracks. The interior is also in very good condition. The battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion. Everything is tested and working perfect. Displayed in my favourite design-book L´utopie du tout pastique.
