A vintage Japanese “Golden Era” turntable with a timeless design! The Yamaha GT-1000, released in 1983 during the “Golden Era” of Japanese audiophile equipment, is a highly-respected direct-drive turntable that was released exclusively in Japan. The GT-1000 is an entry into the upper-midrange market, just below the flagship GT-2000 model, and offers exceptional performance by virtue of its robust and unerring construction, as expected from Yamaha. The large 3 kg (6.6 lb) aluminum platter and quartz phase-lock loop control provide highly stable rotation, for extremely precise pitch reproduction. On top of its playback performance, the GT-1000 is overall a visually beautiful piece of equipment. This unit is in excellent condition, with only minor general wear throughout, including a few not immediately noticeable scratches and dust stains (please see photos). The dust cover also has minor scratches and dust stains (please see pictures and refer to dust cover policy below).
