Here is an antique HARMONY brand talking machine/phonograph in excellent working condition as pictured. This machine is an early disc phonograph by The Great Northern Manufacturing Company of Chicago, produced during the early days of manufacturers patent wars with an oversized spindle, and dated August 13, 1901 on the horn elbow clamp. Winds up and runs quietly without bumping; motor has been professionally restored with new spring that plays 78rpm record all the way through on one winding. Oak cabinet with nice restored original finish and original decal; original crank and brake/speed plunger. Original blue flower petal horn has an older repaint finish with a few dings as pictured. Horn elbow has been polished to reveal brass. Original sound box with new gaskets plays with good volume. A few details bear mention: wool turntable felt is an older replacement;there is finish loss on horn elbow as pictured. Original blue horn has an older repaint and shoes a few dings/creases from age as pictured. Overall, a very nice original collectors machine guaranteed over 100 years old and ready to use and enjoy.
