Apparently this was originally owned by the CBS Network, as a CBS HQ inventory sticker was found under the platter. The base appears to be solid walnut; it is not a laminate or plywood. The turntable presents very well, seethe pictures. The arm is missing. The arm is a Micro-Seki or Syn-Teck I believe, and was also private labeled for several broadcast equipment manufacturers in the 60s and 70s. I believe this company evolved into Audio Technica. I have played 45s and albums and can attest that it works fine. Several question have come to me about the arm mounting. I believe the table originally (probably) had a Micro Poise R O K arm. At some time a Shure broadcast arm was attached, using the original hole, but with the addition of three tapped screws. I chose to cover those screw holes with the silver plate you see mounted under the arm however, that plate is not permanently mounted. I also added an underneath picture so you can see how clean it is, and check out the arm mounting question. Thank you for your interest. This just in: we believe the arm to be a Piezo – PU-402.
