Customized Stereophonic Record Player. Here’s an awesome 1950’s CBS Columbia tube record player. With a cute separate extension speaker, a vintage 4 speed automatic changer. And a great sounding 6BQ5 single ended tube amplifier. Check out the video below for a small sample. Of what this player sounds like! The main record cabinet and extension speaker were. With awesome 50’s style coverings of red and black. The exact same style coverings used back in the day! The classic Columbia 4 speed record changer was taken apart. Due to the 60 year old grease. And completely redone to work like it should. Has a new drive wheel, and stereo cartridge installed.. You can play both mono or stereo records. There’s a small stress crack in the plastic trim of the changer near the knob. Nothing you can feel, and affects nothing at all, only mentioned for accuracy. This player also has a neat little extension speaker, which has tons of speaker wire attached, so you can place it anywhere in the room for full stereo sound! The vintage CBS Columbia tube amplifier. CBS 12AX7, twin CBS 6BQ5’s, and a Sonotone 6CA4 rectifier. Has all new capacitors and resistors since the old ones were dried out due to their age. It’s all set now for long life and has that beautiful tube sound.. See photo of the many parts that needed replacing! Gold speaker cloth and cute gold tapered wood legs are the final fun touch. Here’s an absolutely stunning. 1957 Symphonic Hi-Fidelity tube record player.. It’s been completely restored. And looks and sounds fabulous! Of course it doesn’t compare to listening in person. But here’s a small sample of how nice this sounds! This consolette is just the perfect size. Not overpowering and heavy like many of the larger consoles. The original cabinet was professionally recovered with vintage style coverings. Of a beautiful lemon green, grey and white, and looks just awesome. The front also sports new gold speaker grill cloth. Stands nicely on 4 tapered wood legs. Which really give this that true Mid Century touch! The classic 4 speed record changer is in. Condition, with only a common scratch on the plastic from the old needle hitting it…. This was completely taken apart. And redone to work like new again.. Has a new drive wheel, cartridge and needle installed, so you can play both mono or stereo records. See photo for the many parts that needed cleaning and replacing! You can stack records on this changer, (or 45’s on the adapter). And each will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played. This also comes with the original automatic 45 adapter! The 12AX7 and dual 50C5 tube amplifier was completely redone as well. Has all strong tubes, new capacitors, resistors. The front panel and controls and are just too cool! Featuring twin C7 bulbs that illuminate the clear panel.. Looks amazing at night! Three Alnico speakers are fitted into this beauty. With a new crossover capacitor for a tighter response.. As you could imagine, the sound is just superb! What a beautiful and well thought out design by Symphonic.. Each and every piece of this vintage HiFi was lovingly and carefully redone. To bring you and your family many years of listening pleasure.. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a 50’s HiFi anywhere. Restored by Jimmy O. Here’s an excellent vintage 1958 Admiral Stereo HiFi. Fully restored, and plays and sounds fantastic! A true testament to American HiFi design.. Check out the video below for a small sample. Of what this player sounds like! This player is just so cool. The automatic 4 speed Admiral record changer was completely taken apart. And redone to work like new again.. Has a new drive belt, turntable matt, and a stereo cartridge, so you can play both mono or stereo records on this. Also comes with its original automatic 45 adapter, which sits conveniently in its holder inside the player, and allows you to stack records and they will each play automatically. The 3 tube amplifier was also redone, with all new capacitors and resistors for long life and a wonderful sound! See the last photos for the many parts that needed to be replaced! This has a powerful 4 speaker stereo system, boasting all Alnico speakers! The front controls allow you to adjust Loudness, Balance. Bass and Treble, Mono, Stereo. Tubes include: a 12ax7, and dual NOS 50C5 Sylvania black plate outputs. The main cabinet has its original coverings which are still in very nice shape, having only some very light wear, and some bubbling to the white on the inside lid… This unique player has a convenient stereo speaker, that attaches to the inside top lid, and conveniently swings up and out, so you can place it anywhere in the room you like for full stereo sound! Comes with a generous 10 feet of speaker cord too! The speaker grill cloth is also original, and in good condition with no holes or tears, just some stains here and there. Gold tapered wood legs are the final detail. That really make this player stand out! And redone to work like new again.. Has a new drive wheel, turntable matt, and a Audio Technica magnetic stereo cartridge, so you can play both mono or stereo records on this. The 6V6 tube amplifier was also redone, with all new capacitors and resistors for long life and a wonderful sound! Also has a new power cord, rca input, speaker binding posts, on/off switch, and pilot light in the front which let’s you know that the unit is on. The front controls allow you to adjust Loudness. And On/Off with Bass and Treble. Tubes include: a 12ax7, dual 6V6 smoked glass, a 12AT7, and a 6X5. All tested at NOS levels. Here’s a 45 playing! Vintage 1950’s Customized Console by Jimmy O! The main cabinet has plenty of room to store all your records inside. Comes with a vintage Alnico speaker, and the speaker cabinet is removable, so you could place it anywhere you like. You can also hook up your iphone or an ipod into the amplifier! Has vintage style cabinet coverings of black, green and grey. The same style coverings they used back in the day. Stereophonic Hi-Fidelity – 1957. Just when I thought I had seen the best in 50’s record player design. Along comes this brilliant Emerson Stereophonic HiFi! Emerson, as usual, spared no expense in the quality and workmanship that went into every detail of this beautiful console. You’d swear you were right back in 1957 when this is set up and playing a vintage album in your home.. Check out the video below for a small sample. Of what this Emerson sounds like! 1957 Emerson Hi-Fi Record Player Restored and Beautiful! The original mahogany finished cabinet is just so cool. With it’s tapered front and minimalist design. It’s the perfect compact size, not overpowering and heavy like many of the larger consoles. Measures 35 inches long, by 17 inches deep, and stands roughly 30 inches tall. The front doors slide open for record changing, and close for playing. In amazingly beautiful condition for being more than 60 years old. Having only some common light scuffs on the top. A small scratch on the front door, and a few paint specs here and there. Nothing big at all, just mentioned for accuracy. The 4 speed record changer has a unique STEREO/MONO switch. For playing your selected records. You can stack records on this changer, (or 45’s on the adapter), and each will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played. This also comes with an automatic 45 adapter, that stores conveniently in it’s holder just above the record changer. The record changer was completely taken apart, and rebuilt to work as it should, including a new drive wheel, and cartridge/needle. The tube amplifier has all strong tubes, and all new capacitors. Along with a new power cord for long life and safety. See the many capacitors that were replaced in photos! The front graphics look terrific, are still all intact. And the controls allow you to adjust the following. Volume/Balance, Tone/Bass Treble, On/Off, Left/Right Speaker Selector. A fun pilot light enhances the control knob area at night, and lets you know if the unit is on or off. Dual Alnico speakers are on each side of the console, have new crossover capacitors for a tighter response, and sound just awesome! Player stands on 4 gold metal tapered legs. Which really make this console stand out. An extra final bonus is the original owners operating manual. And record changer manual that are both included! What a beautiful and well thought out design by Emerson. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a 50’s HiFi anywhere. Restoring America, one record player at a time! M OTOROLA 1955 Golden Voice. Hi, Jimmy O here… Thanks for stopping by to see my latest restoration.. Here’s a fabulous 1955 Motorola Golden Voice record changer and tube amplifier. Both completely redone, and beautifully displayed in a custom built retro cabinet! Check out the video below for a small sample of what this fun Motorola sounds like! 1955 Motorola Tube Amplifier & Record Player Custom Hi-Fi Console by Jimmy O – YouTube. This player is just so cool and retro looking, with it’s striking custom cabinet, silver and black grill cloth, and gold tapered legs. The cabinet is really awesome, having plenty of room for storing and displaying your records, along with a shelf for a CD player, which you can also listen to through the powerful 6V6 tube amplifier! The entire cabinet was covered with vintage style coverings of green, black, and white; the exact same kind used back in the day… See close ups of the wonderful quality and texture! Console measures 34″ long, by 14 1/2″ deep, and stands 30 tall with the legs attached; the legs unscrew if you need the extra space. Motorola has always been known for their terrific sounding amplifiers, and this model is equipped with one of their best mono 6V6 versions. The amplifier has been completely redone, inside and out, with new wiring, tube sockets, capacitors, a USA made CE can capacitor, new resistors, red pilot lamp, and an added fuse and power cord for safety.. This amp sounds amazing! The fun space age designed control knobs allow you to adjust. Loudness, Treble and Bass. The automatic 4 speed record changer is also simply fantastic and in really beautiful shape, with it’s awesome 50’s original 2 tone fleck paint! The record changer was entirely taken apart and rebuilt to operate like new again. The tonearm has a brand new stereo cartridge installed and you can play both stereo or mono LP’s on this. This is an automatic changer, so you can stack records, and each one will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played. Comes with a convenient automatic 45 adapter, which was also rebuilt, and allows you to stack and play multiple 45 records automatically! 1950’s Motorola Custom HiFi Console Designed and Built by Jimmy O! A nice bonus feature is the external RCA input and selector switch located on the side of the amplifier. You can hook up a CD player, iPhone, iPod, etc, and listen through the tube amp.. M OTOROLA 1955 Golden Voice. Hi, Jimmy O here… Thanks for stopping by to see my latest restoration.. Here’s a fabulous 1955 Motorola Golden Voice record changer and tube amplifier. Both completely redone, and beautifully displayed in a custom built retro cabinet! Check out the video below for a small sample of what this fun Motorola sounds like! 1955 Motorola Tube Amplifier & Record Player Custom Hi-Fi Console by Jimmy O – YouTube. This player is just so cool and retro looking, with it’s striking custom cabinet, silver and black grill cloth, and gold tapered legs. The cabinet is really awesome, having plenty of room for storing and displaying your records, along with a shelf for a CD player, which you can also listen to through the powerful 6V6 tube amplifier! The entire cabinet was covered with vintage style coverings of green, black, and white; the exact same kind used back in the day… See close ups of the wonderful quality and texture! Console measures 34″ long, by 14 1/2″ deep, and stands 30 tall with the legs attached; the legs unscrew if you need the extra space. Pilot Model PT-1028 1958. Hi, Jimmy O here… Thanks for stopping by to see my latest restoration. Here’s a fabulous and rare 1958 Pilot High Fidelity console! What an amazing player; Pilot spared no expense in the quality and workmanship that went into every detail of this beautiful machine… It was a real pleasure to bring this player back to life, and it now looks, perhaps, even nicer than it did new! Check out the video below for a small sample of what this Pilot sounds like! This player is just so cool looking, with it’s striking vintage black and white cabinet, silver and black grill cloth, and gold tapered legs. The entire cabinet was recovered with vintage style coverings, the exact same kind used back in the day… See close ups of the wonderful quality and texture of the covering! Pilot has always been well known for their powerful and beautiful sounding tube amplifiers, and this model is equipped with their absolute best. Sporting three 12AX7 tubes, dual EL84 outputs, and a 6CA4 rectifier… All the tubes are original 1950’s Telefunken and Mullard, and all tested super strong!! The amplifier has all new capacitors and resistors, along with a new power cord and added fuse. See photo of the many components that were replaced in this amplifier! The automatic 4 speed Garrard record changer is also fantastic, with it’s awesome 50’s accents, control knobs, and beautiful original beige paint! The record changer, control panel and knobs are in such fine condition, it looks as though this console was hardly ever used! The tonearm has the famous GE VR2 cartridge, one of the best cartridges ever made. I installed a brand new stylus, so you can play both stereo or mono LP’s on this… It’s a dual stylus, so you can flip it over, and play 78 records too! This is an automatic changer, and also a manual changer, so you can stack records, and each one will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played, or leave it in manual to control shutting it off yourself. Comes with a convenient Garrard 45 adapter, which allows you to stack and play multiple 45 records automatically! Sorry about the sideways video, I’m trying to figure out how to straighten it! This has a nice large three way speaker system… A 12 woofer, a mid range and a tweeter… I replaced both crossover capacitors with Dayton caps for a tighter response. Want to play records at night? This has a cool pilot light that gives a beautiful warm glow in the record changer area, and doubles as a front pilot light via the small red lens in the speaker grill cloth… A nice bonus feature are the external speaker outputs, and additional inputs you can choose from in the back of the console; Designated for Phono, an additional Tuner, or Tape! You can run a CD player, ipod or smartphone through the tape input, and listen to your music in full glorious High Fidelity!
