Porta Phono, Major Phonograph model 220U, portable yellow record player. Turned on and the turntable moved slow but after it warmed up the turntable rotated fine. Needle plays records good, speakers sounded good. Not sure if the adapter is the one that came with the player. Didn’t check to see if all the different speeds played normal only the 45 and 33 records. Does have marker marks on top cover.

Fabulous DANSETTE MAJOR RECORD PLAYER in Blue and Grey Dansette Major Record Player from the Rock’n’ Roll era of the late 50s, newly refurbished and looking superb. The case has been recovered in new blue and grey’Rexine’ type leatherette material. The playing deck, which will play up to eight records consecutively, has been cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. The valve amplifier has been checked and had new components fitted where necessary. A new three core earthed mains lead and 3amp fused plug is also fitted. It is fitted with a modern stylus and cartridge which is safe to use on your stereo records. It is not however suitable for playing 78rpm records. If you wish to play 78rpm records please contact me. A preamp circuit is also fitted giving a good healthy sound and volume. This is a genuine British made Dansette, not a cheap plastic Chinese lookalike.
