ORIGINAL 1964 THE BEATLES PHONOGRAPH MODEL 1000. MANUFACTURED BY NEMS ENTERPRISES LTD. FOUND & PICKED IN AN OLD BARN. Anaheimpicker is very proud to offer what is considered by collectors tobe one of the ultimate pieces to own of all commercial Beatles memorabilia. The 4 speed blue cased Nems phonograph record player was manufactured in 1964 and only 5000 where produced. There are very few of these record players surviving. Cosmetically has a lot of wear. The major damage is in the bottom. It has parts where it lost the fabric lining that covers it. The fabric covering the case has clear tape in some parts. But it is very easy to put a retouch of fabric. The important thing is complete with all its vital components. I did plugged and rotate at all speeds. The plate is grinding a bit on the speed selector. And it makes noise when it is spinning. With a small adjustment the noise will be eliminated. Played a record but nothing is heard no sound. Possibly the cartridge does not work. The power cord only works on one side. If you connect it and it does not work just unplug it and turn it and connect it again and will work. But what does it matter? Please look at all the pictures for the cosmetic condition. What you see is what you will receive. Welcome Beatle maniacs to my super rare Beatles Original 1964 NEMS 1000 record / phonograph player sale, on offer is a super original, untouched / unrestored Beatles record player. Not restoration, as over restoration, basically you are owning a reproduction, this is genuine 100% un-restored, zero repro parts! I have been told that the player does not turn but has the standard humming noise which is consistent with this player unrestored, NEEDS NEW NEEDLE, I have enquired about having the player mechanically restored and will pass on the restorers name, but have not gone ahead as I prefer it as a display piece as it is. There are no known broken or missing pieces other than age wear and the needle , no surprises, zero water damage , I believe the pictures really tell the actual condition better than I could describe and can add any extra pics upon request. 7 kg, outer packing will add to the overall size. The Beatles Record Player. BEATLES record player manufactured for NEMS in 1964. On Sale for Mother’s Day! Those who own them covet them highly. They cost a lot back in 1964 Liverpool, and were a massive status symbol for teenage girls gone Beatle crazy. This item demonstrates the love and care that went into its preservation in succeeding generations to this day. Its has never been abused, only lovingly used and with some careful checks of its instrumentation with those wonderful things called tools, this will run like new. It runs just fine but kinda stretches the music, could mean a new needle, a flat 45 rpm, or an adjustment on the idler wheel. I know that’s all in line with owning and nurturing over time; an important instrument coveted at the greatest turning point of the current history of music. Restoration and preservation and knowledge of the legendary object you will be owning. In light of this great responsibility that I see the next owner taking on I will only offer this at a true collectors price, expensive. You’d better want it bad enough to pay for the honour and never forget you would now hold a chapter of rock history memories in your hands. This is considered by most collectors to be one of the ultimate pieces to own of all commercial Beatles memorabilia. The 4-speed 17-1/2″ x 10″ x 6 NEMS record player was manufactered in 1964 and only 5000 were made, with very few surviving. So far, only a few near mint units have turned up – the majority that have surfaced are in worn condition. The colorful 20″ x 11″ x 7 packing box is even rarer, only a handfull are known to exist. An owners manual was also included. The serial numbers were on a piece of paper attached to the inside lid, and in most cases this is missing. This record player does not have the box or serial number. This is one of the nicest condition players known to exist. Adding; Folks, this one is it! The winner of the all time best record player I have ever offered for sale, and it even edges the one I owned myself in 1982, which before now… Why’s It Rare? The four-speed NEMS Beatles Record Players (Model: 1000) were manufactured in 1964. The date places the Record Player amongst some of the earliest pieces of commercially produced Beatles memorabilia items. There’s a limited supply, because it’s estimated that only 5,000 record players were produced. So, finding one in near-mint condition, fully operational, and with all its original parts intact (especially the serial number tag) is extremely rare.
