The turntable has a diameter of 33 cm and a mass of inertia of 220 kg-cm. The tone arm uses a static-balanced S-shaped pipe arm, which is firmly fixed with a zinc die-cast holder with high rigidity and low squeal. The needle pressure adjustment is a 0.5g step scale direct-reading type from 0 to 3.5g, and is a universal type that can be used with cartridges of 4g to 11g dead weight. It also features a direct-reading dial spring-and-lever type inside-force canceller that can adjust the cancellation charge according to needle pressure, and an oil dump cueing arm lifter that smoothly raises and lowers the arm by hydraulic pressure of silicon oil. In addition, a dynamic damping system is employed to suppress arm resonance. The cabinet is a solid type made of high-density, high-specific-gravity particleboard 40 mm thick. A large 50? Insulator made of specially shaped rubber material is used to suppress unwanted resonance and the effects of external vibrations. This record player was developed using Yamaha’s highly precise machining technology. The mechanism uses a belt drive system with a 30cm aluminum die-cast turntable and a synchronous outer rotor motor. To reduce unwanted vibrations, the entire player mechanism is suspended by Yamaha’s unique double float suspension system. In this system, the turntable and the tone arm are integrated and lifted off the player panel, and the motor is also lifted off the panel. The arm uses a light-alloy S-shaped pipe arm with a solid structure that has no resonance, and is designed to have low tracking error and high tracing ability with sharp sensitivity in both horizontal and vertical movements. It also comes with a direct-reading needle pressure adjustment and a subweight for heavyweight cartridges. It also has lateral weights for left-right balanced balance around the tone arm axis and a thread-suspended anti-skater to cancel inside forces. The headshell uses the international standard plug-in replacement system. The contacts of this headshell are gold-plated to reduce contact failures. The cartridge uses the Shure M75 series of MC type cartridges. An overhang indicator lamp is provided to indicate the correct overhang of the cartridge. This means that the correct overhang can be obtained by aligning the needle tip with this indicator lamp when the cartridge is replaced. An auto mechanism is provided to improve operability. This mechanism mixes the advantages of both manual and automatic operation, allowing auto start and auto cut with the operation of a switch that serves as both a play and off switch, and also allows manual start. A cueing mechanism is built in to allow the user to pause record play and replay the record from the halfway point. A silicon hydraulic cylinder provides gentle operation to prevent damage to the record. The cabinet was available in two finishes: the YP-700 with a Brazilian rosewood finish and the YP-700C with a castor (plug) open-pore finish consistent with Yamaha’s New Line composers. Yamaha YP-511 Direct Drive Record Player. This record player is designed to reduce the adverse effects of vibration by increasing the weight of key parts. The motor is an 8-pole, 24-slot DC servo motor with high torque. Furthermore, the servo circuit response has been improved to maintain accurate rotation speed even under load fluctuations. The turntable is a 1.6 kg die-cast aluminum turntable, which is dynamically balanced from the mold by precision metalworking technology. This turntable has a weight distribution on the outer circumference to increase the actual weight during rotation, achieving a mass of inertia of 220 kg/cm2. Furthermore, the materials and shapes of the turntable rubber sheets were selected through rigorous hearing tests to ensure the best sound. A 1.3 kg lead alloy die-cast arm base is used to firmly secure the foot of the arm, preventing harmful unwanted vibrations and minimizing adverse effects on the reproduced sound. The arm is made of a torsion-resistant light alloy pipe filled with a special filler to suppress resonance of the pipe itself. The main shaft of the rotating bearing is connected to the weight shaft with weights for applying needle pressure via a rubber damper, and the bearing case and main shaft are also connected via a rubber damper. The main shaft is made of machined brass to reduce resonance, eliminating the aluminum pipes that are usually used. Specially selected angular contact bearings are used in the rotating part of the arm to equally support horizontal and vertical loads. The inside force canceller, which cancels the inside force (force to the inner circumference of the record), is a dial direct-reading type that can be adjusted in response to needle pressure. The arm lifter is equipped with an oil dump cueing system that smoothly raises and lowers the arm by hydraulic pressure of silicon oil. It is equipped with a speed control stroboscope, which allows independent 6% speed fine adjustment for both 33 and 1/3 and 45 rpm. All my products are 100% Authentic.
