I’ve had it for 5-6 years. I just cleaned the cueing rod and replaced damping fluid. If you are not familiar with this player, please do some research. The center piece, suspended deck I covered with a real wood rosewood veneer. The player comes with a brand new NOS Shure 105E cartridge/stylus in its box. For your consideration is one of my favorite turntables Yamaha PF-800. I have owned one for years. Sub platter design with three inverted spring suspension. Sub platter is made out of zinc, and the outer part is a die cast aluminum. Black vinyl was stripped. The center piece is a rosewood real wood veneer. The rest is black walnut with Java. Cueing and auto lift and shut off work excellent. Dust cover was buffed and polished. Notice a tiny crack on the left side of the cover. I took it to the local acrylic shop and they secured it with solvent just in case. Platter was wet sanded and polished with Brasso and a McGuire medium and final cut. Speed pots were cleaned with Deoxit. Motor shaft was cleaned and lubed. Motor is dead quiet and speeds are stable. Please, review the pictures about the condition as they are part of description. I take a lot of pictures. Let me know if you want to see anything up close. Will be secured with transport screws, safely packed, platter, hinges, counterweight, etc. Approximate box dimensions 22x18x16, 35lb. Please, read my feedback. For your consideration is a gorgeous Yamaha PF-800 with a Rosewood plinth. In one house since new. Comes with original box. This is not your ordinary turntable. A modern turntable with these specs would cost you a lot. Signal to noise ratio: better than 80dB. Wow and flutter: less than 0.028% WRMS If you’re not familiar with this player, do some research. I have one, and it sings. Dead quiet heavy turntable. From the vinyl engine site. The PF-800 is so close in performance to the PF-1000 that it may be the only turntable in this class that can rival it. There’s the same emphasis on performance over gadgetry, although like the PF-1000 it does incorporate an automatic arm lifter mechanism that goes to the trouble of lifting the arm at the end of the record and shutting off the motor for you. And it also shares such advanced features as the dynamic balance twin-pipe straight tonearm, Double Float Suspension System, two-piece platter, and everything else that matters. There’s also the same attention to style and detail that separates this remarkable turntable from the ordinary. Indeed, to make the PF-800 an attractive alternative to the PF-1000, we substituted zinc for gun metal as the material for the inner platter, which allowed us to retain the same outstanding vibration-damping characteristics. Comes with excellent sounding. Yamaha CG-6600 Cartridge and stylus. Original cover was buffed and polished and it’s almost excellent.
