A stunningly elegant and wide record player with a direct-drive hall-effect motor and a separate motor for the tonearm wrapped up in attractive look-at-me woody looks. What more can you ask for? . The DC brushless Hall motor in the PL-570 turntable combines Hall elements with a high torque motor and a semi-conductor circuit. Hall elements, production engineered by Pioneer, are used to switch the polarity in the motor. Since purely electronic communication is used for switching the motor drive circuit, harmful noise is not generated, and smooth, even rotation can be obtained with high durability. Pioneer PL-570 Turntable Hi-Fi Stereo Record Player High End 1970s Made In Japan. Very nice teal estate find over the weekend of a Pioneer PL-570. Owner guaranteed it works. I dont have the means to test it as Im in the process of moving out and packed all away my amp and speakers. Everything seems to work properly. The power cord will need to be replaced eventually. There is a long black electric tape on the cord. Yet as you can see, the owner took great care of his audio equipment, its very very clean. For your consideration is a vintage Pioneer Top of the line Full Auto, Direct Drive Quartz Lock PL-570. This player has been in the same house since new. Big and heavy with VTA, long all metal arm, two motor system, no link automatic auto lift, return and shut off. You can use as a full auto player or move tonearm to the platter, and it starts spinning. You can use it a Quartz Lock player or turn the Quartz Lock off and adjust manual pitch control. Completely disassembled, cleaned and lubed moving parts with a white lithium grease. Timing motor was taken apart, cleaned from an old grease and lubed the gears with white lithium grease. The main motor is dead silent. Tonearm, knobs, etc were cleaned and polished. Platter was wet sanded, buffed and polished. Original dust cover is probably the best I have seen. All automatic functions were calibrated and work like a Swiss watch. Original fake wood vinyl was replaced with this dead gorgeous expensive Hawaiian Koa real wood veneer. Bought it specifically for this player. Total of six coats of different finishes applied. It’s silky smooth between semi-gloss and satin sheen. All corners were trimmed to perfection. No power tools used. Will be nicely packed. Double boxed with bubble wraps, styrofoam sheets, etc. This player is big and heavy. Approximate box dimensions: 22x22x16 and 40lb. Vintage Pioneer PL-570 Turntable with original box. When I plugged it in, the turntable started going around without my having initiated any action. This happens even with the tonearm on its rest. I can visually tell that it rotates at different speeds, although of course I cannot measure those speeds. Also, the lever that lifts the tonearm up and down seems to have no effect. The tonearm is not stuck or binding, I can manually move it through its range of motion. There is a bag of screws and some component as seen in the picture. So it probably needs some sort of repair. All the knobs, buttons, and levers do move smoothly. The clear plastic dust cover is in amazingly good condition, as is the wood base. For your consideration is a vintage turntable Pioneer PL-570 record player. One of the best Full Auto turntables. TOTL at its time. Big motor and heavy platter. Quartz Lock or Manual by moving tonearm to the record. All metal tonearm base. Optical auto lift, return and shut off. Big and heavy player. Original fake wood vinyl was stripped and replaced with a Black walnut real wood veneer. This is as close to the original color as I could do. What you see is its original texture and color. Notice tight and sharp corners cut with precision. The lid is made out of 3/16 acrylic. Bigger and heavier that original. Platter was sanded, buffed and polished. All aluminum pieces were cleaned, polished and look like new. All lettering is intact. Cueing rod and well were cleaned and filled with a fresh damping fluid. Tonearm land softly now. All auto functions calibrated and work perfectly. The motor is dead quiet. Speeds are stable even with Quartz Lock off. Works like a Swiss watch. PL-570s take the longest to finish. For your consideration is one of the best Full Auto turntables Pioneer PL-570. Huge, heavy and beautiful. All internal parts are sitting on a die cast aluminum plate. Original dust cover is very nice. Some swirl and light marks, but it is one of the best I’ve seen. Buffed and polished with Meguire’s products. All calibrated, adjusted, etc and works like a Swiss watch. Speed pots were cleaned with Dioxit. The motor is dead quiet. Quartz Locks almost instantly. Original fake wood vinyl was stripped and real wood veneer applied. I don’t use any power tools. Each side glued and trimmed before the next one applied. I use only raw wood veneer. No peel and stick or paper back veneer. All sides trimmed to perfection. Six coats of oil based finish applied with sanding between. Silky smooth to the touch, satin sheen finish. Arm lifter rod was cleaned and lubed with a new damping fluid. Platter was wet sanded and polished. All control aluminum plates were polished and look excellent and no missing letters. All knobs, buttons, tonearm pieces were cleaned and polished. Moving parts were cleaned from old almost solid grease, then washed with IPA and lubricated with a white lithium grease. The Pioneer comes with an excellent sounding Shure 97x cartridge with original stylus. Watch a short video here. View the zoomed in pictures. Platter, counterweight, hinges removed and double boxed.
