Records And plays back just fine from Microphone. Probably needs new Cartridge. All tape functions appear to work fine. Has nice loud audio output. Power Cord is frayed and stiff but still works. Offering a SONY TC-850 2-4 Reel to Reel Tape Recorder. This is a 2 or 4 track recorder. (7 ½, 3 ¾ and 15 ips). Comes without Nab Hub adapters or the Sony reels. Overall condition is very nice, it’s clean and works beautifully. It plays with excellent fidelity. The heads are in very nice shape. The exterior does show normal wear and tear for an item of its age. The face shows some ring scratches from reel wear and the cabinet looks in fair condition. Take a good look at the photos for visual description. I played many tapes many times, to me its working. I have not tried to record anything, I dont know how to.
