I do not have alot of knowledge of stereo equipment other then how to connect speakers, rca, antenna ground. I test my turntables on my marantz receiver and boses speakers. All 4 speaker channels worked. This pioneer worked properly. These are real good turntables. See photos for references to condition. The plastic lid does have scratches. The back of the plastic lid next to the hinges has a Crack. Please see photos for references. Whoever gets this I hope knows how adjustments are for control arm and for proper leveling of turntable. This unit was from a recent cabinet pull. It runs and the motor works well. The head unit and contacts dont connect properly and the cartridge was glued in at some point. I will leave this work to a professional. The skilfully designed 4 pole capacitor-start hysteresis synchronous motor in the P-68H provides low vibration and stability of each speed. Wow and flutter which are caused by vibration of mechanism and leakage flux are also eliminated by utmost care and craftsmanship of long experiences. A finely-finished 12 diameter aluminium die-casting turntable, with heavy rim for flywheel effect, guarantees the safest performance. A firm rubber mat protects record against abrasion and prevents flutter. Speed change is made by knob on the panel, with 0 position between each speed. Vintage 40s of 50s Electronics Creations Record Player w Shure P77V Needle/Cartidge – Needs Work. Record player seems to be partially working. It powers on, the record will drop from the support arm and then it will play. The play part is the problem. I only hear the faint sound of music playing. Not sure if the amplifier tube is bad, the speaker may be bad or something else or a loose wire etc. Someone who has experience with these old machines can probably figure out what is wrong and fix it. It has some cosmetic issues as well. Can play 78, 45 or 33. The needle or cartridge is a SHURE P77V 242. It is a dual needle cartridge (not sure if my terminology is correct). The cartridge or needle needs to be flipped over to play 78s. What you see is what you get. See photos for condition.
