Nice player in decent shaoe. The hinges to the cover are broken so the cover just sits on top. Everything seems to work good. The switch to raise the arm is slow, but not sure if it is supposed to be or not. Move the arm over and it starts playing, it does not move over automatically. Stop button and everything works. Comes exactly as pictured. See photos for condition.

Vintaged MADE IN JAPAN Technics SL-D2 Direct Drive Turntable Record Player. I used my needle to test everything, and played 45’s 33’s on it works fine. It is in good shape normal light wear on cover few light scratches blemishes on top cover. I took pictures of all sides look at them to see condition your self. The cover the back tabs are half there size, but still fits in some times one may pop up, but cover will stand up when playing it with cover on only sometimes when close lid one side pops up Ask all questions. Technics SL-D2 in goodcondition. Everything works as it should including the semi auto function. I’ve lubed the main bearings, cleaned the speed pot and installed a Technics cart with a brand new stylus. I also fabricated some heavy duty dust cover tabs out of aluminum which work great, This is a nice table which holds speed and should give you many years of service. Vintage Technics SL-D2 Direct Drive Automatic Turntable. Features auto-return, and auto-stop; two speed (33 & 45 RPM), direct drive turntable. The direct drive mechanism is powered by a brushless DC motor with B-FG servo control. This unit is in good overall condition. Dust cover has scratches, fogging, and “ghosting” from marker that bled from a package that was sitting on top, but these do not affect the turntable’s performance. Every other part of this unit is in great condition. Includes an Audio Technica cartridge (“needle”) so you can plug it up and play your own albums as soon as it arrives at your house. I played an old Three Dog Night album on it last week and it sounded great.
