Vintage Classic Technics Linear Tracking Direct Drive Turntable. This SL-V5 shows some minimal wear for its age, has some light scuffs and 1 rough scuff on the clear plastic door (see photo). It comes with original power cord and ground cable, stylus is old but working good as well. This unit is working and sounding great but has not been serviced recently. The SL-V5 has a futuristic and stylish appearance and a fairly unique tracking mechanism housed in the door itself. It operates wonderfully and sounds just as great! A Rare vertical quality unit from the early 1980s. Microcomputer-controlled fully automatic: Automatic start, return, repeat and record speed selector. Direct drive brushless DC. 33 1/3 and 45 rpm (auto set with manual override). 0.012% WRMS, 0.025% WRMS (JIC C5521) +/- 0.035% peak (IEC 98A weighted). 56dB (IEC 98A unweighted), -78dBdB (IEC 98A weighted). Aluminum die cast 300mm. 3.5 mV +/- 3 dB at 1 KHZ 5 cm/sec. 9 grams (including cartridge). Dynamic balanced 4-pivot gimbal suspension. 10.5 cm (12 Hz resonance). +/- 0.01 degree.
