This RCA model 45-EY-3 is an excellent 45 RPM record player from about 1950. With its 4 x 6 inch speaker and powerful 3 tube amplifier it has. Great sound with plenty of room filling volume. The Bakelite cabinet is in good original condition, still showing a nice satin shine. It has not been waxed. There are no chips or cracks. There are a some scratches and blemishes. Handle is nice with a good spring. Completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, lubricated, adjusted and tested. All new rubber parts; idler wheel, cycling cam, motor mounts, and chassis mounts. Turntable chassis; Old paint removed, primed and painted a beautiful antique white. Resistors tested and replaced as necessary. Volume control cleaned for static free operation. New stereo cartridge (bridged for mono) with diamond stylus will safely play both stereo and mono records. Cartridge is genuine Chou Denshi, Japan. Not a cheap knockoff. This record player will be gentle to your records with a tonearm tracking force of just 4 grams. This phonograph looks fantastic and is a great way to listen to your 45’s. Stack up to 12 records for continuous play. Please examine photos carefully. They are a much better description than can be written. Thanks for taking a look.

A beautiful restoration of this vintage RCA 45 RPM record player from around 1954. The 45-HY-4 is one of RCA’s best sounding 45 phonographs. The 4 tube push-pull amplifier with tone control and large 8 inch speaker provide great sound with plenty of volume. With their cool vintage look and fantastic sound these record players have become very popular among collectors and vinyl enthusiasts. Restoration process: Unit was completely disassembled. Is in very good condition, still showing a nice shine. It has not been waxed. No chips or cracks. There are a few minor scratches and blemishes. Completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, lubricated, adjusted and tested. All new rubber parts: idler wheel, cycling cam, motor mounts and chassis mounts. Motor disassembled, bearings cleaned and lubricated, rotor shafts polished. Turntable chassis: old paint removed, primed, painted and clear coated. Rebuilt with all new capacitors. Resistors tested and replaced as needed. Tone and volume controls cleaned for static free operation. Original 8 inch speaker is excellent with no tears or holes. New stereo cartridge with diamond stylus bridged for mono play. This cartridge is a genuine Chuo Denshi CZ-800, not a cheap knockoff. This phonograph will safely play both stereo and mono records. Tonearm tracks nicely at a gentle 4 grams. Up to 12 records can be stacked for continuous play. This record player sounds and looks fantastic. Please examine photos carefully. This amazing RCA RCA 8-EY-4DJ 45 RPM vintage record play was owned by my friend’s grandparents from the mid 1950s. It has stayed in the family. Please look at the pictures and videos attached. The 8-EY-4DJ is one of RCA’s best sounding 45 phonographs. With it’s 8 inch speaker, 4 tube push-pull amplifier and. Tone control it has plenty of room filling volume. Up to 12 records can be stacked for continuous play. This is a beautiful record player that sounds great. This does not need restoration unless you want it to look brand new because it works!
