The Magnavox Micromatic Turntable is a vintage record player with a sleek white design and the model number 2CA815. It is a wired turntable that offers a compact and portable option for playing vinyl records. Radio and turntable work! It has not been serviced or restored. The receiver works great. The turntable works (see video) but needs a little work as it is scratchy sounding. The turntable needs a new idler wheel as the rubber on the current one has hardened which makes it noisy. It would also benefit from a new stylus. Otherwise it works as the video shows. If I find time l, I may order a new idler wheel and install it. If I do, I will update this listing. I have a lot of projects so probably won’t get to this restoration anytime soon. If you are handy at all it is a simple task to replace idler wheel and stylus. All Transistor MAGNAVOX Stereo Portable Luggage Record Player Micromatic made in Model number 1SC239 made in England. As you could see in the 1st photo the caution label is no longer attached to the unit I will bag it up and put it separately. I made a YouTube video showing how it works. YouTube video link below. I would think due to age it needs a new needle, some speakers or replace the capacitors in the amp or other work. This unit has the regular vintage USA plug on it for power. In the photo is shows the items on a scale for weight comparison only in pounds and ounces. The item weighs 27 pounds. The scale is not part of the sale. The tape measure in the photos is in inches for size comparison only. This item is old it has scratches, scuff marks, staining, discoloration, tarnishing, rusty, small tears in the casing, 3 of the little feet on the bottom if the luggage are missing. Vintage Record Player c. 1964 PYE Black Box 1004 Transistor Monarch Autochanger. The name “Black Box” was introduced in 1954, and was carried through to the 1970s, with this particular incarnation being model 1004. The 1004 model introduced transistor-based playback (rather than valve), but kept the classic looks of the original model. This particular example is fitted with a Monarch autochanger. The player works on all speeds, as does the auto changer and the light at the bottom centre front. Cosmetically, the player is in good order, other than a few dings and scuffs typical of an item that age. In the latter case, we will send you an invoice ASAP.
