“Limed oak” version of the rarely seen Wilcox Gay 400 tabletop hifi record player. Comes with 4 tubes and internal speakers all within a solid wood oak case. Unique and well made. Powers on, platter spins and produces sound through speakers but the cartridge doesn’t appear to work and the unit may need some repair. Records And plays back just fine from Microphone. Probably needs new Cartridge. All tape functions appear to work fine. Has nice loud audio output. Power Cord is frayed and stiff but still works. VINTAGE WILCOX GAY RECORDETTE SR IJ10 RADIO RECORD PLAYER/LATHE- EXC CONDITION This was found in a house we just bought, wrapped up and inside a trunk. I really never knew these machines were even made. Please note the light edge on pic 4 is a reflection and not a wear spot. Included: Original instruction manual 1 unused cutting needle 39 recorded discs from 1940-41 Condition issues: Radio comes right on and tunes into many stations in our area. There is slight static when tuning in but quickly goes away and sounds amazing. See photos for visual actual condition. Thank you for looking.
