Victor Victrola Antique VV-50 Tiger Oak Portable Phonograph Record Player Works
Beautiful and completely original Victor Victrola VV-50 serial #131555 tabletop portable phonograph record player. These were immensely popular phonographs during the “Roaring Twenties”, as they allowed people to take their music with them to parks, picnics or outdoor events. This Victrola VV-50 is in great overall condition. The nickel plated hardware is vibrant with little wear and corrosion. 2 reproducer plays loud and clear, and the single spring can play through a record with ease. The break, speed control, crank clips, and tone arm clip all function properly. As can be seen in the photos, the lid support is not attached. The original screws are supplied but the holes are stripped so they will not stay in. The new owner may replace the screws or fill and remake the holes. The tiger oak case is structurally sound and presents well, however, shows some signs of wear. There are no chips or cracks in the case, however a small section (6 strip) of veneer is missing from the bottom, as shown in the photo. Please view all photos as they are part of the description. The dimensions are 12″ wide, 17 1/2″ front to back, 9″high with the lid closed, and 23″high with the lid open. Five original Victor disks as well as a tin of needles are included in this lot.
