Antique Working Columbia Type BN Graphophone Phonograph Record Player with Horn
Antique Working Columbia Type BN Graphophone Phonograph Record Player with Morning Glory Horn Patent Date 1901. This is a really nice antique Columbia Type BN Graphophone phonograph with a patent date of Aug. It features the original metal morning glory horn. It can be easily removed by just unscrewing from the adapter. The original outside finish was very worn with paint loss, scratches, etc. And so it has been repainted blue with gold ribbing and looks great. There are a few slight bends in the metal which are barely noticeable. This horn measures about 18″ long with a diameter of 18 3/4″. The dark oak phonograph cabinet is in great condition as is the original Columbia logo on the front. The tone arm and horn easily swivel from side to side and the interior playing mechanism is in good working condition as well. The felt on the turntable has been replaced with new. The phonograph has been tested and is working well and sounds great. You can hear it play by going to YouTube and searching for – spiceberry1 Columbia Graphophone Phonograph. Keep in mind that the record is not the best quality but it’s the only one I have. These are simple machines to operate; just wind it up, move the combination on-off-speed control lever to start the turntable spinning, place the needle on the record and adjust the speed as necessary. You won’t be disappointed in this nice phonograph. They are getting very hard to find in this nice working condition and they make great conversation pieces.
