Vintage Realistic LAB 24B Turntable / Record Player Professional Series
This Realistic turntable had been i n storage for decades and seems to be in beautiful shape. I t powered on, the arm moved automatically and played the record. The weight of the arm is clearly out of adjustment because the needle practically floats over the record. Also, when I plugged it into the receiver, it seemed noisy, like a hum. It changed slightly when I jiggled the RCA cables. We know almost nothing about proper operation so assume that it’ll need some TLC. Cosmetically, its very nice. The dust cover is scratched and has a couple cracks but otherwise, the whole unit is really good. Also, the turntable rubber plate has obviously been re-glued, and you can see some overage around the outside of the platter. T he mystery to me is the sticker on the back that says “Emerson Model 740″. No clue what that’s about. We’ll cover proper packaging to ensure that it gets to you in its current, pictured condition.
