Customized Stereophonic Record Player. Here’s an awesome 1950’s CBS Columbia tube record player. With a cute separate extension speaker, a vintage 4 speed automatic changer. And a great sounding 6BQ5 single ended tube amplifier. Check out the video below for a small sample. Of what this player sounds like! The main record cabinet and extension speaker were. With awesome 50’s style coverings of red and black. The exact same style coverings used back in the day! The classic Columbia 4 speed record changer was taken apart. Due to the 60 year old grease. And completely redone to work like it should. Has a new drive wheel, and stereo cartridge installed.. You can play both mono or stereo records. There’s a small stress crack in the plastic trim of the changer near the knob. Nothing you can feel, and affects nothing at all, only mentioned for accuracy. This player also has a neat little extension speaker, which has tons of speaker wire attached, so you can place it anywhere in the room for full stereo sound! The vintage CBS Columbia tube amplifier. CBS 12AX7, twin CBS 6BQ5’s, and a Sonotone 6CA4 rectifier. Has all new capacitors and resistors since the old ones were dried out due to their age. It’s all set now for long life and has that beautiful tube sound.. See photo of the many parts that needed replacing! Gold speaker cloth and cute gold tapered wood legs are the final fun touch.
