The Denon DP-50L is a direct-drive turntable that was released in Japan in 1978, during the “Golden Era” of Japanese audiophile equipment. Though this turntable does not have a mainstream following outside of Japan, among Japan-savvy audiophiles the DP-50L has a phenomenal reputation for its high-quality playback performance, with stable rotation speed, high SNR (>75 dB), very low motor noise, and very low wow and flutter (< 0.015% WRMS). Furthermore, the DP-50L has a very high quality of build and just looks gorgeous. The L version indicates automatic operation. This particular unit is in very good condition, with only minor wear throughout (please see photos), including some scratches on the body.
