Rare Vintage Technics SL-Q2 Stereo HiFi Direct Drive Turntable Record Player This superb Technics turntable has been fully and thoroughly tested and cleaned and is in excellent working condition. This does have some marks to both the lid and the deck as shown in the photos. Unfortunately the hinge tabs on the lid are broken so needs to be lifted on and off when in use. The platter is quite pitted so could do with a good metal polish to bring it back to shiny again. This is a semi automatic deck which means you have to place the stylus on the record yourself but once the vinyl has finished the arm will return to the rest position and stop. As this is a direct drive you will never have to worry about replacing worn out belts. The stylus is in great condition and still sounds fantastic but I do not know how much use this has had. The headshell is removable so should you wish to upgrade to a Ortofon Concorde for example it takes just seconds to swap them over. This has 2 speed settings, 33 & 45. Overall a great turntable that I’m positive the new owner will be very happy with. This has just had new upgraded gold coloured RCAs fitted.
