Sony PS-F5 Stereo Turntable System Record Player Direct Drive PSF9 Boxed NM. 1980s Sony RARE PS-F5 Portable LINEAR Record Player Flamingo Upright Turntable in NEAR MINT condition and BOXED. Runs on 3 AA batteries (not included), but may be powered by a USB or by 6V Power Adaptor (an OE M Sony 220V/50Hz is included). Plays at 33 1/3 or 45 RPM; accomodates both 7″ and 12″ records. Plays lying flat, hanging, or standing. This item is in excellent condition and does not suffer from the common yellowing seen in many creme/white plastics. The battery compartment is corrosion free as well. This item shows minimal signs of usage. The VOLUME control rotates smoothly and does as it is supposed to. The PHONES / REC OUT stereo outputs function perfectly. Its a small, portable turntable which runs off regular batteries or an external power supply. It plays 7 or 12 records at 45 or 33.3 RPM and most impressively it will do so either laying down or standing up, due to its linear tracking, direct drive and record clamping system. It has dual headphone sockets so you can listen with a friend or plug it into an amplifier. A nifty swivelling foot arrangement stows in the base of the player. Upon rotating the rubber-covered chrome plated steel feet, they extend out of the front and rear, giving extra stability when standing upright. Platter: 91.5mm strontium ferrite.
