You are looking at a PIONEER SA-540 integrated amplifier. Excellent example from 1983. Features include, brushed aluminium front facia, MM phono stage, tuner, AUX, two tape inputs, two sets of speaker outputs (switchable on front), loudness, bass, treble, balance & headphone socket. Its in great working order no noisy switches etc & in excellent condition, some light marks and scratches on the fascia. I have cleaned all the potentiometers and contacts with Caigs Deoxit for years of trouble free performance. Based on discrete amplifying devices. Power output at around 25-30 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms. Suitable speakers should be rated between 6-16 ohms. Sweet sound with transparent & clean midrange. Power output: 40 watts per channel into 8 (stereo). Frequency response: 20Hz to 70kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.05%. Input sensitivity: 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (line). Signal to noise ratio: 72dB (MM), 98dB (line). Speaker load impedance: 6 to 16. Measures 42cm W x 24cm D x 10cm H. Conditions apply, the security seal must not be disturbed. Some wear and tear, scratches and some marks fully working 5 out of 10 OK condition fully working, moderate marks and scratches all round the item. 4 out of 10 Fully working but in poor condition, lots of wear, marks and scratches. 3 out of 10 Not working but in good condition, worth repairing 2 out of 10 For spares or repairs, poor condition but could be made good. 1 out of 10 Scrap for parts only.
