1960 Dansette Conquest Record Player Refurbished In Red And Cream With Legs
This 1960 vintage Dansette Conquest Auto record player in red and cream rexine with legs. This Dansette is fitted with a 2 stage amplifier and has been fitted with a new old stock cartridge and stylus to play stereo records without risk of damage. This player gives a very nice sound and packs a real punch. It’s easy to see why this would have been a popular player in its time. It’s been fully checked over electrically mechanically and the original rexine removed and recovered in new red rexine it is in superb working order. It has a stereo compatible cartridge and a new stylus so will play any records without damage. The amplifier and circuitry has been checked over and the unit fitted with a a new double insulated earthed mains cable with a 1 amp fuse. An earth cable has also been incorporated into the player. There is a treble control control along with a seperate bass control with an on/off switch which also doubles up as a volume control. The control knobs have all been cleaned and have no crackle when adjusting. The turntable is automatic. Simply sit up to 8 singles on the stem and it will go through each one perfectly. The turntable mat is the original and is in excellent condition and still soft to the touch. This will really make a great gift for someone who loves vintage record players and to own an original Dansette is an opportunity not to be missed. This record player is almost 60 years old. I have tried to get it as close to the original as possible and spent a lot of time and effort finding replacement parts and fitting them. I would prefer collection as it’s quite an heavy item and they don’t like to be knocked around. I will post if required and will attempt to package it up securely and mark as fragile.
