A stunningly elegant and wide record player with a direct-drive hall-effect motor and a separate motor for the tonearm wrapped up in attractive look-at-me woody looks. What more can you ask for? . The DC brushless Hall motor in the PL-530 turntable combines Hall elements with a high torque motor and a semi-conductor circuit. Hall elements, production engineered by Pioneer, are used to switch the polarity in the motor. Since purely electronic communication is used for switching the motor drive circuit, harmful noise is not generated, and smooth, even rotation can be obtained with high durability. It is a fantastic turntable and prices are rising on these rare beauties. The condition is a 7.5/10 , The turntable itself is in lovely, working order, the lid is in real nice condition considering most of the time these are very badly damaged. It comes with the headshell and cartridge that you see with it. The only issue is that the little lock that holds the arm in place when the unit is not being used has broken off – it does not affect play-ability at all, and the arm still sits perfectly fine on its arm-rest without the little plastic lock to hold it in place.
