Vintage Apollo Gramophone Record Player Wooden Cabinet Horn Apollophonic B Head. Apollo Gramophone Cabinet with horn built in beneath. Made from a white wood, likely poplar and dark stained to look like mahogany. Working condition with original Apollophonic B playback head. Two needle pots, one with a lid. Doors open to show horn/allow sound to be heard, left one is out of shape at the bottom see photos. And the lower part, where you would store the records, same again with the left door and the right one has a split in the top of around the area of door catch ball, see photos. A piece of beading moulded trim is missing from the front, and damage and wear to the top and the stained wood effect on top and on the doors has cracked and crazed with age. Inside is good, some wear around the brake mechanism. And wear to the sound reproducer head, the rubber seal as degraded around where it connects to the horn piping. Sound reproduction is very good.
