BRAUN SK 55 Phonosuper. Snow White’s Coffin. And Additional Dipole Antenna. Designed by Dieter Rams. German tube radio and record player , build 1961/62. This particular radio-phonograph combination is in a excellent cosmetic condition for its age and full working order. It has a three speed record player 45, 33, 16 rpm. The tube radio picks up LW, MW, and UKW signals (Broadcast, Long Wave, and FM). Beautiful white metal casing with ash-veneer wooden sides. All switches and knobs work well treble, bass, etc. , no scratches or noise. The platter will move in all speeds, plays records very great and loud. The needle is new and the phono cartridge was replaced and plays very good. The radio has some nice reception even without an external antenna. The sound is clear and the valves are in good condition. This radio phonograph was restored and revised. Tubes, capacitors and defective resistors were replaced. The needle is new, the phono cartridge was replaced, all individual parts were cleaned, the housing complex was cleaned and polished, the acrylic cover is new produced like the original one, all mechanical parts were cleaned and oiled, technically checked, etc…. (Please look at the pictures). The varnish, the scale and the vaneer are all original. The Phonosuper comes from the first owner and is in a perfect condition! A truly design classic by Dieter Rams which is in many museum permanent collections. All functions are guaranteed. Tubes: ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84. Voltage regulator works from 110 to 240V.
