VTG (1957) RCA Victor SHF-8 Tube Phonograph Record Player IT WORKS
The phonograph powers on as it should and I was able to play several records, both 78’s and 45’s. It sounds really nice. All of the various functions seem to be working as they should be – volume/loudness, bass, treble, record speed, on/off, etc. The mahogany cabinet is superb and looks really, really especially sitting atop the the 4 mid-century brass colored legs. The interior/chassis is super clean as you can tell from the pictures. There is a small piece of plastic that has chipped off at the top of the base where the overarm connects. Check out the following video to see this awesome unit in action. It measures 20″ wide by 18″ deep and stands 27 1/2 tall with it’s legs. If the legs are removed, it stands 11 1/2 tall.
