RECORD PLAYER / TURNTABLE. TYPE 5613 (I think). Unit weight 21lb 4oz. Unit size 3″ x 19.25″ wide x 14.5 deep. Yes, comes with the MMC2CL B&O stylus / cartridge. Looks to be in great shape and traveled attached to the tone arm. Also comes with the, now, somewhat rare, 8 pin din to stereo split RCA with grounding wire, cable. This means it can be jacked into any standard phono preamp or input on a receiver and it doesn’t need to be B&O. I’ll try to explain as best I can… This’ol beauty needs some TLC and time that I jut haven’t been able to find. Cosmetically, in pretty good condition. However, the silver plate that goes over the right side of the machine has unglued and made it’s disappearance during a move. The foam like glue (or whatever it is) has dried out. See specific pic of that. The glue tabs holding the silver plate surrounding the platter have also dried up, so that is loose. But, that came in handy when checking the machine. I own a recording studio and have fixed any number of turntables… Pretty much all belt drive though, and this is magnetic drive. The aluminum plate under the black plate that’s under the tone arm rest area, has also separated from glue loss, hence it’s being pictured outside of the unit. The platter DOES spin. Starts up, then stops because of tone-arm issue (see below). If I push the turn button, it does so indefinitely. I removed the platter to check on things – see associated pics. The tachodisc needs replacement, but when turning, seemed to be keeping consistent rpm. Tone Arm ISSUE – See video (up with pics). Starts off, makes it to about the platter edge, then stops… Eventually goes back to position. When I took the platter, etc. Off, it makes it down the worm screw but not sure as far as end groove on a record would be. Pushing stop sends it back to start. Sometimes, it stopped somewhere in between. The tracker arm does light up. Given the tone-arm issue, I wasn’t able to test sound quality. Had this question presented. Do the traverse buttons move the tonearm assembly? If you press PLAY, then try to move the arm using the traverse buttons, does anything happen? Spin starts, tonearm moves 1/2 inch but pushing the traverse seems ineffective. Of note, after attempting that, the “33” led and the light on the scanning arm both start to blink. They kept doing that until I unplugged it for about 30 seconds. A couple of times in the various attempts and sequence changes, there was a quiet buzz for a couple of seconds. I acquired this to fulfill my memories of wishing I had one of these systems when I was in my teens in the 80s. There’s something about the non-rackmount aspect and needing an obnoxious amount of table space that makes them appealing. The sound quality is important too, of course, and the classic look. I feel like it would be a straightforward fix to someone who knows these machines. I just don’t have the time or energy to fix it up and the family has fallen on some rough times, so I’m starting to list old gear and “projects, ” so check them out. I’ll also be listing my Beocord 8000 (also having issues – they’re just old) and my Beomaster 8000 at some point (still testing it and getting over the “let it go” aspect). This is heavy at 21+ lbs. It will be packaged carefully. I will be removing the platter and the loose faceplate, as mentioned, and will probably use a record shipper to put those in, separately, from the rest of the turntable. There’s likely to be a couple of pounds of boxing material. I do not have the original box or manuals. IF YOU ARE INTERNATIONAL, outside of the continental US, and are interested, please contact me. If you’re on base (APO/FPO/DPO – Navy brat here), in AK or HI, let me know and we’ll figure something out. Here is our usual spiel for our listings. I used to do a lot more in music, but the pandemic, and careers evaporating, brought the wife on board, so now we list tons of toys too. Please see pics as they are part of the description. Comes from a smoke free environment. Check out our other toy & miscellaneous listings. Looking for baby and toddler items? While we do not. First class can now take upwards of 7 – 10 days, although we have had consistent success with items arriving very quickly to buyers. It is not uncommon for first class items to not get scanned. As they put it – priority is always the priority. As my family works primarily with collectibles, the above may not be an issue as collectors collect when the collectible becomes available, and not so much because of specific holidays. Thank you for your understanding and patience. If you are trying to get items to you before a specific holiday or special event, whether first class or priority, please let us know and we can inform you of the current postal trends/statuses. This item is in the category “Consumer Electronics\Vintage Electronics\Vintage Audio & Video\Vintage Record Players”. The seller is “zogomusic” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
