Not Edison or Columbia. If you are searching for that unique gift whether to someone special or just to yourself, this is it! These machines are seldom seen in the open market. These duplexes, which are over 110 years old are quite scarce. Just to find one complete and running is a feat all to its own! This particular machine is a fantastic example of “The Greatest of all musical inventions” as advertised when it was released in 1905. Thus, because they were only in business for four years and had limited production, the Kalamazoo duplex has become one of the most sought after machines by the collector today. This particular machine is all original except the reproducer and the support arms. These are unfortunately reproductions. Original parts for these machines are practically nonexistent. The case displays the original finish as well as the crisp decals. These is some varnish that has come off over the years on the top, but not bad. Someone with the knowledge of doing “French Polishing” could fix this easily. I just decided to save it for the next owner. The machine does have the original motor as seen by the pictures. It winds up fine and runs well. The reproducer is a high quality reproducer manufactured by an expert machinist, quality second to none! The horns are original, but unfortunately were in such rough shape that they had to be recovered with cloth. There were also a few dents removed from the bell.
