Emerson Wondergram Turntable Record Player 33 45 Battery Gold Vintage Rare
Emerson Wondergram Turntable, “The World’s Smallest Record Player”. This portable phono has a built in speaker and plays 33 LP and 45s and uses C Batteries. A sleek mid century design with a gold lid and tone arm and black plastic body. This is a rare item and is seldom found on the market, a must-have for serious stereo collectors. Bottom is stamped, “Baird Made in England, A Camp Bird Product”, These were imported by Emerson for the US market. Condition is For parts or not working. But there is hope! When the tone arm is moved, which activates the motor, there is clicking sound in the speaker, however the motor does not turn. There is a repair tutorial online that suggested that these players can be fixed with the replacement of one of the three diodes and new needle / stylus are available. It appears that during a sock hop the turntable was knocked off the table, the plastic body is broken on the rear corner and bottom edge and has another bad crack on the side and bottom. Has a needle as shown in picture #12. I had hoped to fix it but… The item “Emerson Wondergram Turntable Record Player 33 45 Battery Gold Vintage Rare” is in sale since Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
