Looking specimen amongst the chosen few of integrated valve mixer amp in all shape & form to ever rolled out of the assembly line back in the day. You’ll be hard pressed not to own an almost unattainable, most coveted Harmon Kardon legacy to date. The Harmon Kardon CA-35 model definitely is a pure gem find remnant from the time when the universe once revolved around analog domain and the ubiquitous “ones and zeros” of its day were simply kindergarten elementary material in audio world. This timeless classic design piece of historical relevance showcased here was inactive for some time since retired from duty and believed to be functional. THE GOOD: Up until recently it has gone through a barrage of tests and endless hours of complete general check up which included but not limited to: detailed clean every crevice and every line, deoxit, lubricate all pertinent parts to ensure proper contact with some retouchings involved in the refurbishing process. Due to my limited knowledge involving tube audio gear, I only conducted “power-on” test and tubes lit-up but did not attempt to actually plug any source on it. I’m just too inundated with so much projects lined-up that I don’t have the luxury of time and may not have the opportunity to a complete bench test. Original knobs included but no image available. To put back into service once again by a deserving future owner, audiophiles, niche analog enthusiasts and purveyors of all things unique. Don’t deny yourself from acquiring this vintage piece of history that its relevance continues to persist almost in full circle today. Conversely, It is an investment that is worth the “Wait” in gold! So grab it while it lasts! Like any other vintage gear, some traces of inconspicuous or obvious wear is almost expected. Exceeding 3 decades of tracking down and literally thousands of man hours invested in refurbishing, restoring, repairing these amazing electronic wonders to accumulate such magnificent concentration of historical analog importance you’ve ever seen! Some are new, used and few are part of my on going passion in what I do. Nonetheless, all has given equal meticulous attention and care to arrive in the integrity they once were and will be hard pressed not to admire aesthetically.
