NEAR MINT 1907 Edison Home 2-Minute Cylinder Phonograph Record Player + 14 Horn
For your consideration is a Near Mint 1907 Edison Script Front Model B Home Cylinder 2-minute Phonograph, complete with 14 witch hat horn and a selection of excellent cylinder recordings. I only sell the finest fully-serviced mechanisms for long term enjoyment and satisfaction. This Edison Home showcases a near perfect original gilt script decal and one of the nicest factory original shellac finishes you will find. Incredibly, the lid latches retain nearly all of their most delicate original nickel plating-nearly unheard of on any cylinder phonograph. The asphaltum black bedplate is lustrous and retains nearly all of the original and fragile gilt detailing. The original nickel plating on the top works is incredible, and most of the hardware has its original factory blueing. The motor runs silent- just as it left the factory. Fully wound you can easily play through a few cylinders. This Edison has a sturdy new leather drive belt. So long as it is routinely oiled you will get another 100+ years of enjoyment out of this machine. The original Model C reproducer is absolutely pristine, freshly rebuilt with new custom gaskets, cleaned, and tuned for optimal performance. The 14 witch hat horn is new old stock from our dearly departed beloved phonograph parts guru, Ron Sitko. It’s the ideal compliment for the outstanding condition of the phonograph. This phonograph weighs about 28 pounds and the cabinet with lid on measures. 16.25″ x 9″ x 11.5. Included are three cylinder records- two Edison 2-minute Black Wax featuring great band and orchestral selections, and another pristine Indestructible celluloid (early plastic) march number. This machine will safely play all standard-sized black wax and celluloid 2-minute cylinder records.
