Vintage 1954 RCA 45 RPM Record Player Model 45-HY-4 Nicely Restored Great Sound

A beautiful restoration of this vintage RCA 45 RPM record player from around 1954. The 45-HY-4 is one of RCA’s best sounding 45 phonographs. The 4 tube push-pull amplifier with tone control and 8 inch speaker provide excellent sound with plenty of volume. These record players are becoming hard to find due to their collectability. Restoration process: Unit was completely disassembled. The Bakelite Cabinet and Lid have no chips or cracks. They have been painted and clear coated. The pilot light works. The Mechanism has been. Completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, lubricated, adjusted and tested. All new rubber parts have been installed; idler wheel, cycling cam, motor mounts and chassis mounts. The turntable chassis has also been primed, painted and clear coated. The Amplifier has been rebuilt with all new capacitors and resistors. A new AC cord has been installed. The tone and volume controls have been cleaned for static free operation. The tubes test strong. The original 8 inch Speaker is in great condition with no tears or holes. Stereo Cartridge with diamond stylus, bridged for mono play, has been installed. This cartridge is a genuine Chuo Denshi CZ-800, not a cheap knockoff. This phonograph will safely play both stereo and mono records. It will be kind to your records with a tonearm tracking force under 4 grams. Up to 12 records can be stacked for continuous play. This record player sounds and looks fantastic. Please examine photos carefully. They are a much better description than can be written.
