Waters Conley Company Phonola. This vintage Waters Conley Company Phonola record player is in good condition. There are signs of wear on the outside of the cabinet: such as some scratches and wear on the gray finish mainly on the edges and corners. The hinges and latches that close the cabinet are in good shape. The carry handle is solid. The four feet on the bottom of the cabinet are in good condition. The record player is fully working. This is a hand wound record player that plays 78 RPM records. There is no volume control – that is the way they made them back then. There is an On/Off slide switch that stops the platter from spinning. Another slider control switch allows the player to spin faster or slower. There is a small covered container on the top left corner that holds several extra needles. A storage compartment to carry records is under the lid of the record player cabinet.
